Ray Elliott as a professional contributing to the professions and the community, has served:

  • As Chair of the Management Committee, Corporate Organisation building tower at 685 Burke Road, Hawthorn East (2006-2008)
  • The Interest Group for Coaching Psychology (IGCP) of the APS, serving as its founding National Convenor (2002-2003); during 2007 he was again invited to be its National Co-convener along with Dr Michael Cavanagh of Sydney University.

  • On the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) institutional Human Research Ethics Committee for eight years – an appointment by the Minister of Health (1998-2005).

  • The College of Organisational Psychologists, co-ordinating the professional development program for I/O psychology in Victoria (1998-2000).

  • The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Board as Consultant and Lecturer in Education at Monash University (1980 – 1988) – contributed to the evolution of State-wide curriculum design in public education in the Social Sciences.

  • St Georges Anglican Church, Malvern (1990 – continuing) – as an Honorary Associate and Member of the Anglican Synod.

  • Anglican Diocesan Committee on Education – a Committee of the Anglican Synod – with linkages to the Minister, government agencies, government schools and 24 Anglican Schools – as Secretary for 10 years (1980-1989).

  • The Archbishop of Melbourne’s Education Working Group of the Archbishop’s Commission on Multicultural Ministry and Mission (published book report: ‘A Garden of Many Colours’) (1980’s).

  • Chairman of the Property and Finance Committee, Victorian Council of Christian Education, the investment arm of the Australian Council of Churches (1970’s).
